I wrote this song in 2012, reflecting back on my relationship with my wife, and how we have grown since we began our relationship. It's always cool to reflect on the endless memories, and look at how they've molded each of us into the people we are today.
lyrics
WAY BACK WHEN
Verse I
I remember you, like yesterday
Like the clouds remember, the pouring rain
The world was younger, and so were we
Like a lonely winter, that turned to spring
It was a journey, down a winding road
We stayed together, our hands we’d hold
If the road grew dark, and the storms would blow
We stayed together, and held to hope
CHORUS
And how we’ve changed, since way back then
Our love is stronger, than it began
When trouble showed, and others ran
We overcame, hand in hand
Our love was certain, way back when
VERSE II
Seasons changed, we stayed the same
Our love so constant, like a moving train
And we stayed true, against the grain
Through joy and tears, sunshine and rain
So here we are now, at the door
Of everything, we thought we knew before
Day by day, we’re finding more and more
Eternal love, to which we swore
BRIDGE
And this I know, I won’t let you go
‘Cause if there’s hope, then we are not alone
Brought together, together whole
Our love forever, and ever known
