"The College Song" was a goofy little melody I put together to summarize some of the more humorous experiences I had while studying at Maryland. From being a hopelessly lost freshmen, to dealing with the mystery meat at the diner, I tried to keep it light and fun while also using the song to reflect back on those early years of my college experience.

VERSE I
I hate waking up for 9 AM’s and, studying for hard exams
What do I need this weaving course for, anyway?
And whats the deal with my whole hall, twenty two guitars that get played too long
“Stairway” for my breakfast, and “Smoke on the Water” all day

TAG
But don’t you see, its just like me, to sit around all day and eventually
Write a song, to tell them off, cause I’m just too just lazy leave my loft

CHORUS
I present to you my philosophy, squint real hard and then you’ll see
Work is over-rated, this much I know is true
Lab reports and papers are the devil’s friend, burning up in hell is where they’ll end
And once their there I’ll laugh with childish glee

VERSE II
I hate waking up at 2 AM, to the drunken laughs of the drunk freshmen
Who gets drunk off Ever-Clear anyway?
They’ll sober up with some diner food, once they wake up in the afternoon
I heard refried meat is the special for the day

The meats not great, but its worth the wait, just to put your mind in a heightened state
Late for school, ‘cause you think your cool, chances are your a freshman fool

BRIDGE
Let’s sit and wait, and hold debate, on whether or not we’ll procrastinate
We’ll waste our days on “MySpace”, and watch that German dude on “YouTube”
