Without a doubt, this is a love song. I wrote this song as a surprise gift to my then girlfriend (now wife). The chord progression had been in my head for months, and it was time to put lyrics to the page. They came effortlessly, and it was one of the easiest songwriting experiences I ever had. Funny how the right inspiration tends to do that.
lyrics
VERSE I
Brown eyed girl, the color of my world
She makes it change, and takes the gray away
I wish I may, I wish I might
To keep you close, and hold you tight
TAG
The things that I say, never quite portray
The things that I need, to say
CHORUS
It’s just you and me, under the moonlight sky
We’ll take it in stride, like an up and down ride
You see it in me, there’s no where else I’d rather be
We’ll dance away, just a night at a time
We’ll sway to the left, and sway to the right
And never ever find, our way out of each others eyes
VERSE II
Seasons change, my love remains
When the sunlight fades, my love will stay the same
I’d trade it all, give everything away
Just for one more night, where I’d hear you say
BRIDGE
When I have you here, its all so clear
And everything I am, is incomplete without you near
